Siemens launches three new tri-band colour display phones

2004-01-29 Siemens Mobile launched its latest sortie into the mobile phone arena with the launch of three new models – A60, C60 and MC60 – for the Indian market. In line with Siemens Mobile's India strategy, the new models make high-end features, such as colour display and tri-band, and multimedia features, like digital photography and multimedia messaging, available for the entry-level consumer in each category.

The new range features large colour display with a focus on a colorful and symphonic multimedia mobile experience. The phones have an array of polyphonic ringtones, extra long SMS and colourful pictographic Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS), besides the option to add one’s own sound, images and animations. The new phones come with a variety of games and are globetrotter-ready tri-bands.

Peter Gartenberg, executive vice-president, information & communication mobile – mobile phones division, Siemens, said, "The Indian mobile phone market has our complete focus. As promised, we are bringing in at least one new model a month to extend our portfolio. We are also adhering closely to our strategy of delivering high-end features at entry-level position in every category.”
