| Bhaskar Group's Gujarati newspaper Divya Bhaskar, which was launched on June 22, 2003, with a pre-launch confirmed circulation of 4.5 lakh copies, claims to have grown steadily in the last two months. The media house says its circulation stands at 4.7 lakh copies currently, out of which 2.9 lakh-plus copies are circulated in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar city, and 1.7-plus lakh copies cater to entire north Gujarat region.
To consolidate its position in north Gujarat, Divya Bhaskar is putting up a full-fledged printing unit at Mehsana with a printing capacity of 1 lakh copies. This will help it meet the growing demand of the region. A prepared note from the company reiterates, "Divya Bhaskar will be able to give latest news up till 2.00 am to the readers of north Gujarat". Shravan Garg, editor, Divya Bhaskar, says this will help save the time lost in transportation by 2.30 hours.
For the record, Divya Bhaskar publishes six district editions in the north Gujarat region, namely Anand, Mehsana, Himmatnagar, Nadiad, Surendranagar and Palanpur-Patan. |
