Sahara Manoranjan is SaharaOne now
 

The makeover at Sahara Manoranjan has begun. Following the management joint venture between the Sahara Group and Percept IMC about a month ago, the former has rebranded its free-to-air, Hindi general entertainment channel as SaharaOne.

The new identity is in sync with the umbrella brand - SaharaOne - which encompasses Sahara's four major media and entertainment businesses including motion pictures, radio, TV and special projects.

The new management headed by the joint MD of Percept, Shailendra Singh will take charge of all initiatives under the SaharaOne umbrella.

To announce the channel's arrival on the scene, a star-studded musical event titled the Sahara Sangeet Awards was kicked-off on October 10 at 7.30 pm.

On the cards is the launch of new shows including Kuch Love Kuch Masti in the 10 pm slot and Power Trip on Sunday afternoons.

Existing star-centric shows Malini Iyer (featuring Sridevi), Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam (featuring Raveena Tandon) and Karishma (starring Karishma Kapoor) will bid adieu, implying the end of the fading Bollywood actresses' tryst with television.
