The dish ‘Har Chhat Par’ offer aims at making DTH entertainment affordable to everybody. The extremely competitive price point offered is expected to increase the penetration of dishtv in homes across the country. It is expected to do well even in areas where cable accessibility has been a problem. The offer is available at all dishtv authorized outlets across the country.

Under the dishtv 3990 scheme, a customer gets the hardware – the dish and the set-top box - installed without any additional charge at his home. The offer has been designed to include a year’s subscription fee for the Dish Welcome package. The package includes a total of 77 channels which include movies, music, news, sports as well as religious programmes. Popular channels like Zee Cinema, ESPN, Star Sports, CNN, Cartoon Network etc are part of the offering.

The customer also gets an opportunity to choose an additional group of channels in his or her regional language. So viewers can now enjoy channels in Punjabi, Bangla, Gujarati, Marathi, Oriya, Telegu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada, along with the Hindi and English programmes. Another additional feature is 13 radio channels that the user can enjoy.

Direct-to-Home or DTH is a relatively new way of watching television in India, although it is a preferred method throughout the world. Until recently, the only way for the signal to be carried to your home was through a cable.
