Media Brief

National, Oct 24, 2016

The 1st infotainment channel of Kannada, that surprised the market with disruptive programming and excellent time spent on ratings chart since the launch in February this year, is back with new program launches in Diwali week. Starting today, 3 weekday & 2 weekend programs are all set for telecast.

Anthima Dinagalu (Those Last Days): The program goes back to epic stories and decodes the mysterious and insightful `those last days’ of legendary personalities from stories like Mahabharath & Ramayana. Example: Bheeshma, Rama, Krishna etc. Mon-Sat: 9.00pm.

Wide Angle: Presents insightful true stories with historic significance. While some are amazing facts, others are major stories that have been drawing world’s attention for long. Giving a broader perspective to the issue and presenting 360 degree version of the story is crux of the program. Mon-Fri: 9.30pm. Kote Helida Kathe (Stories of Forts): Our land is ruled by kings and emperors for centuries. When evidences are disappearing, some of the magnificent forts are standing tall majestically and looking at us to narrate the breathtaking stories, which include love and war. Presenting insightful historic stories from forts perspective.

Many noted, small and big, forts are shot in details to present to the viewers of Kannada. Surely a visual treat with history knowledge. Sat: 9.30pm. Navu Nammavaru (We and Our Society): We can’t just imagine our society without certain communities. Call it a tribe or a community, they are part of our everyday life; and millions of us depend on them. Example: the Pourakarmikas, Auto drivers, BMTC bus drivers & conductors, the Barbers, the Police, the Teachers etc. The program is about understanding the life of these communities and presenting unseen side. Sun: 9.00am.

Mane Aduge (Home Made Food): Program with dishes that can be cooked in a jiffy. Unlike regular cookery show, where anchor and celebrity takes over the program, Mane Aduge is unique and the focus is only on the food and the joy of making it. Healthy cooking & eating presented in a very Indian style. Mon-Sat: 1.30pm. “Our programs are inspired by Indian heritage and culture. Since the launch this February, viewers have liked our approach of differentiated Indian content. Today our brand credibility is high and loyalty is growing. Viewers want to see more such content. New programs will surely further strengthen our viewership” says Raghunatha Reddy, Business Head of Saral Jeevan.

“Programs like Lord Rama’s epic journey as Mahapayana, Grandmother Tales, History, Dr. BM Hegde’s Nimma Arogya have already set the bench mark. So viewer’s expectations are high on our new programs. We are sure that these new programs will be liked more than the past ones” ads MS Raghavendra, Editor of Saral Jeevan.
