WAN-IFRA Award: Best News Mobile Service

The Malayala Manorama Mobile App has won Bronze at the prestigious South Asian Digital Media Awards 2017 presented by WAN-IFRA for the Best News Mobile Service category. The award recognizes publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major changes in how people consume news and information today. The World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), is a global organization of the World's press.

On behalf of Malayala Manorama, Amin Seethy, Assistant Content Producer (Manorama Online), received the award from Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ABP Pvt. Ltd, DD Purkayastha and WAN-IFRA Chief Executive Officer Thomas Jacob at a function held in Chennai.

Manorama's news app is also available for platforms such as Amazon's Alexa and Apple Watch.

Manorama Online, a digital pioneer and a market leader in Kerala, has won more than a score national and global awards in the 20 years of its existence including the 2016 WAN-IFRA award for the 'Best News Website in the World'.
