Aditya Ray has been appointed chief executive officer and chief evangelist of Dentsu India’s online media inventory trading portal, Lastminuteinventory.com.
Ray will take over the site, which will go live in the beta testing stage in the next week. The site will enable exchange and sales of TV, print and radio advertising inventory between media houses and advertisers. Dentsu India had announced the launch of the site in August 2007, and had also intended to make it live in January.

Commenting on the appointment, Sandeep Goyal, chairman of Last Minute Media, the company which owns the portal, says, “Aditya brings with him a well-rounded set of experiences in the media business. He has a very deep understanding of media analytics and I am sure he will bring great value to Lastminuteinventory.com.”
Ray worked at Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd earlier in the sales and private treaties team. He has served with the Maharaja Group in Colombo, handling its television channels. He has also worked with Zee Telefilms as marketing head for Zee.
Ray is an IIT alumnus, graduating in electrical engineering in 1990. He completed his Master’s in management from IIM Ahmedabad in 1992.
