Announcing the overhaul on the LinkedIn blog, Caroline Gaffney, product manager, LinkedIn says that the facelift will help navigation be simple and easy, and will offer users quick access to relevant information and updates on the homepage.

With the change, important network updates and articles such as trending topics, news and professional updates will appear at the top of the feed.

The redesigned homepage will be rolled out to all members over the next few weeks. Also, the look and feel of the updates in the stream have been refreshed with richer visuals and a cleaner interface. One can now see a steady stream of updates without having to click 'see more' to access the latest updates in a network. Interactivity with users' connections is also more dynamic now.

On the sidebar, one can now see more information on jobs that could be of interest and people the user may know.

LinkedIn has been continuously incorporating changes this year, making the platform more dynamic than before and it seems, the trend shall continue.

Gaffney says on the company blog, "We're always looking for new ways to make the homepage experience better, more efficient and a place where you can come every day to get what you need to be productive and successful. This is just the beginning of many more exciting, new features we plan to bring to the homepage to offer more customisation and functionality this year. We look forward to making the LinkedIn homepage your go-to destination to discover and discuss what matters to you, your industry and your professional network around the world."
