Star Gold's special content to celebrate Kick's release

The channel will air an hour-long event on July 27 to showcase performances by Bollywood stars, including Kick's Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandes.

Star Gold, the Hindi movie channel from Star India, will be airing first-of-its-kind content driven campaign for Salman Khan's 'Kick'. It may be recalled that Star India has an output deal with Khan and Ajay Devgn to premiere their movies. Kick will also be premiered on Star Gold. In order to promote the movie when it releases in theatres, the channel will air an hour-long event called 'Kick Start' from July 27 at 1 pm.

Kick Start will showcase performances of the stars of the movie - Khan, along with his co-stars Fernandes and Nargis Fakhri. Besides, actors Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor along with Mika and Himesh Reshamiya will also be seen entertaining the audiences.

Hemal Jhaveri, EVP, Star Gold says that Star India doesn't just want to be the telecast right holders, but want to partner Khan and Devgn in their movie releases. "Movie associations in the past have always taken place during a TV premiere, much after the theatrical release. This unique association with KICK helps us build engagement with special content around the movie much earlier on. It is a win-win situation for everyone."

The show will also have behind-the-scene snippets and short interviews of the stars on their experience of shooting the movie. There is more! The celebrations will continue with a weeklong movie fest featuring Khan's movies like Dabangg, Jai Ho, Garv, Ready and Wanted in the channel's prime-time slot at 8 pm.
