Saket Vaidya quits Webchutney, joins Indigo Consulting

Vaidya ends his eight-year stint with Webchutney.

Saket Vaidya, chief operating officer of digital agency Webchutney, has quit the company and joined the Publicis Groupe-owned digital agency, Indigo Consulting as regional head, North. In his new role, Vaidya will focus on growing the clientele base of Indigo Consulting in the northern part of the country. Vaidya had joined Webchutney in 2006.

In 2012, with an aim to strengthen its client portfolio and accelerate growth Webchutney made some changes in its leadership team in its Delhi and Mumbai offices. Vaidya was promoted as the COO for north at that time. Earlier, Vaidya was vice-president, regional operations.

In Webchutney, Vaidya led the agency's operations to broaden the range of specialist services offered to various brands and marketers, and also drive and influence strategic digital marketing solutions. Vaidya comes with over 12 years of experience in domains like technology, pre-sales, account, program management, social media and human resources.

In 2012, Publicis Groupe announced the nearly-100 per cent acquisition of Indigo Consulting, a Mumbai-based full-service digital agency providing website design and development, search engine optimisation, usability research and testing, and marketing online, on mobiles and social media.

Founded in 2000, Indigo Consulting now operates as a unit within the Leo Burnett Group in India. Its services include online marketing, website design and development, search engine optimisation and social media marketing. Its client list includes Godrej Nature's Basket, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Liberty Videocon General Insurance, Max Life Insurance and Kalpataru. For the record, in 2013, the Dentsu India Group had acquired 80 per cent stake in Webchutney.
