Punitha Arumugam quits Google India
Punitha Arumugam, director, agency business, Google India, has decided to move on.

She joined Google India in April 2012. With this move, she will end her two-and-half year stint with the company. Her last day at Google is November 30.

Confirming the news, Arumugam told afaqs!, "Google has been an amazing company to work for, and it has been a great learning trajectory for me personally and professionally. I am on a long, planned break as of now." She will decide her next move post this break.

Arumugam has over 18 years of industry experience.

Prior to joining Google, she was CEO at Madison Media. She had joined Madison Media back in 1999 as media services director, and was later promoted to the position of chief operation officer, West, in 2001. Subsequently, Arumugam went on to head the agency as CEO.

Recall that Arumugam began her career with Ogilvy & Mather, Chennai, and later joined Lintas Initiative Media.
