He was editor-in-chief and creative head of Times Television Network's Bollywood news channel.

Omar Qureshi, editor-in-chief and creative head of Times Television Network's Bollywood news channel - Zoom, has quit the channel after a stint of over six years.

On Zoom, Qureshi hosted a popular celeb chat show called 'Encounter with Omar' and 'zoOming In with Omar' - in his jovial, friendly, witty and irreverently personal style. He also hosts 'The zoOm Review Show'.

Sunder Venketraman, vice president and product head, Zoom says, "Omar has constantly driven the team to showcase compelling Bollywood content for our audience. His contribution has been exemplary and we wish him luck and all the very best in his future endeavors."

Qureshi, a celebrity journalist, also runs a company called Omar Qureshi Entertainment Ventures. Prior to joining TTN, he was with Times of India as the Bollywood editor. Working in TOI for eight years, Qureshi's last designation at TOI was editor-in-chief - Indiatimes Movies where he was in charge of content creation and aggregation for online movie websites. He was also the editor for special issues - Filmfare and a coffee table book on Bollywood Beauties.

Qureshi has also worked with Magna Publishing Company for over 12 years (October 1986 - April 1999). The last position he held there was that of editor for 'Stardust' Magazine.
