2011 Global Awards announces call for entries

The Global Awards, now in its 17th year of honoring creative and marketing excellence in healthcare communications worldwide, announced the Call For Entries for the 2011 competition. The competition receives entries from healthcare corporations, hospitals, advertising agencies, production companies, and design studios producing communications for medical, pharmaceutical, and healthcare related products.
The Global Awards has a broad range of categories and the competition is continually updating its categories to reflect the current trends in the healthcare industry. In 2011, the competition streamlined its categories based on entries and relevancy, while also adding important new categories last year, such as Animal Healthcare, Allergies, and Computer Generated Graphics.
The 2011 Global Awards will honor award-winners at celebrations held in Sydney, Australia and New York City, USA in late November.
The Global Awards Advisory Board is represented by prominent health care professionals whose respected reputations and knowledge of the industry continually generates prominence for the competition, while expanding the international reach of the Global Awards. The Advisory Board is headed by Tom Domanico, Chairman Emeritus DraftFCB Healthcare, and under his leadership the board guides the judging process and ensures that the competition addresses the needs of the healthcare communication industry.
The Global Awards Grand Jury is comprised of a panel of international industry experts, representing the top creative minds in the field of healthcare advertising. Last year’s jury was represented by 12 countries, spanning six continents. 2011 Jury members will be announced soon.
In 2010, the Global Awards recognized winners from 17 countries. Two prestigious Grand Global Awards were announced, one to Taxi Canada, and the second to McCann Healthcare Worldwide Japan, as well as 31 Global Awards and 115 Finalist Certificates.
The Global Awards deadline for entries is August 1st, 2011.
