CNN-IBN’s Sports Editor wins SJFI award

Gaurav Kalra, Sports Editor of CNN-IBN, was adjudged the best sports presenter of the Year 2007 at the third Sports Journalists Federation of India (SJFI)’s Indian Sports Journalism Awards for Excellence in Reporting, Writing, Photography and Broadcasting, in Mumbai.

The Awards were organised by SJFI, which is the premier association of sports journalist’s in India. The SJFI Indian Sports Journalism Awards programme is open to sports journalists/photographers employed with newspapers, news agencies, and sports correspondents employed with sports and general magazines, web reporters and cable television channels.

Exhilarated at receiving the award, Gaurav Kalra, said,” I am delighted and honored to have received this recognition from the third Sports Journalists Federation of India. For any sports journalist the key is to balance both Passion and objectivity and I am glad that I have been recognized to have done that. This success will stay close to my heart forever.”
