Trend Micro celebrates the successful India entry with its channel partners at 'Pinnacle'

Trend Micro the $1.2 billion, pure play IT security global leader, in its endeavor to scale its Indian operations and growth for its consumer products had recently concluded the Partner’s meet – Pinnacle (Empower & Excel) at Kathmandu, Nepal. The event meet was attended by more than 70 leading channel partners (Distributors & Dealers) from across India.

The partner meet was held to recognize and reward the partners, who had sincerely and whole heartedly been actively promoting and supporting Trend Micro’s Titanium range of consumer products (for PC, Laptop and Netbooks & Mobile Phones)in Indian market last year. To recognize and extend our heartfelt thank you to all these partners who has been standing alongside with Trend Micro’s consumer products. The event was hosted by Ms. Sadichha Shrestha (Miss Nepal 2011) and followed with the presentations by Mr. Amit Nath – Country Manager, Mr. Bivash Chaterjee – National Sales Manager and Ms. Shiori Ryu – Marketing Program Manager for APAC and followed in the evening with entertainment session starting with Nepal’s traditional dance and Bollywood themed dance program to enthrall the partners.

“Though Trend Micro Globally is known for its strong consumer business with no 1 positions in many countries such as Japan, Australia, Taiwan, North America - we are late in the Indian market for our consumer business” reinstated Mr. Rajat Sahu – Product Marketing manager, India and SAARC, Trend Micro. However, he emphasized that today Trend Micro is committed to the Indian Consumer business and is looking at 20% market share in next 3 years period. He also thanked the channel partners for their unstinted support in the first year of its market entry and assured Trend Micro’s commitment and to extend all the support to grow the India Business.

Speaking at the event- Mr. Bhupesh from Delhi NCR said “As the security threat landscape is growing rapidly among the consumer segments, it is imperative that the consumers will need a robust and strong technologically superior product to protect them from the continuous malicious attacks originating from the rapidly growing Social media usage (such as Facebook, Twitter etc) and various online financial transactions, Where the unsuspecting consumers sometimes lose their valuable personal information and hard earned wealth in seconds.”

Mr. Vinay Bansal from Synapse said that, “Trend with its latest cloud based security solution is ideal for the consumers because it provides protection through SPN technology – which is a cloud based real time security solution – where the consumer need not worry about malicious Phishing, Malware or Social Media attacks. Trend Micro through its SPN networks keeps a 24 x 7 vigilant eye on any new emerging threat and protects the consumers to falling prey to the hideous intentions.”
