Ford India witnessed a record sale for February 2007 and sold 3856 units as compared to 3023 units last year, registering a 27.5% year-on-year growth on total sales.
For the period January to February 2007, Ford India has sold 8479 units in comparison to 8196 units during the same period last year and posted a 3.5% year-on-year growth.
Ford India in February unveiled the all new 1.4-litre Duratec ZXi - the latest addition to a new six-model line-up. The new 1.4-litre petrol ZXi, ideal for city driving has been introduced in direct response to customer feedback.
In the new Ford Fiesta series, the Fiesta Duratec (petrol) family now constitutes a 1.4 EXi, a 1.6 SXi and the all new 1.4 ZXi. The new Fiesta Duratorq (diesel) range will include a 1.4 EXi, a 1.4 ZXi and a 1.4 SXi.
The new SXi series offers customers ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) making the Ford Fiesta the only car in the premium mid-size segment to have ABS as standard fitment.
