An official announcement from the Times Group, which came in early afternoon yesterday, confirms that Sunil Lulla, the ex-CEO of Times Global Broadcasting has joined back as managing director and CEO, TV business. He has already taken over the reins from Chintamani Rao.
Lulla will be in charge of all three channels of the Times group - Times Now, ET Now and Zoom Entertainment Network.

He moves in from Real Global Broadcasting, where he was director. He started his career with Forbes, Forbes Campbell and Co., a Tata Group company, in 1984 as a management trainee. His next stint was at HTA (now JWT).
For about seven years, he handled various accounts at HTA, the largest one being Unilever. He has also worked with MTV and Sony Entertainment Television.
Rao, who has been named the vice-chairman, will now play a mentoring and strategic role for all the television businesses of Bennett, Coleman & Company Limited. Besides, he will also work on the development of new Private Treaties Partners.
An out-and-out adman, Rao has been associated with agencies such as McCann Worldgroup, Lintas and O&M. His stint with broadcasting started four years ago with India TV, where he spent close to two-and-a-half years. He has been with the Times Group since February 2008.
In another development, Bala Iyengar has been appointed as the business head of Zoom Entertainment Network, taking charge from M K Anand, who quit to join UTV Global Broadcasting as chief executive officer.
Iyengar had, till now, been the general manager - revenue of Zoom TV. He started his career in the ad sales department of Times Response, Bombay Times in 1997. He later moved to Sony Entertainment television in the ad sales department. He has also worked with STAR and MTV.
