MAXUS is Titan's AOR

Madison, Starcom and Lodestar were the other contestants for the Rs 40 crore Titan business

Titan Industries Limited has consolidated its media planning and buying with MAXUS. In a hotly contested pitch for the estimated Rs 40 crore account, MAXUS has finally prevailed over Madison, Starcom and Lodestar.

Earlier, TME (The Media Edge) was responsible for Titan's media buying as part of the centralised Tata buying AOR (agency of the record).

MAXUS had won the media planning assignment on Titan earlier this year in a pitch against Madison and TME.

With this win, GroupM's MAXUS has been entrusted with both media planning and buying duties on all brands of Titan Industries. This includes brand Titan, Sonata, and Tanishq among others.

Among some of the major wins this year for MAXUS are Britannia, and Walt Disney.

According to MAXUS India managing director CVL Srinivas, the ground strength of the agency in Bangalore, coupled with the width and depth of expertise in traditional and non-traditional media, swung the Tital account in its favour.

Among other MAXUS clients in India are Hero Honda, Hutch, Himalaya, Seagram, VIP Industries, Pidilite, Ranbaxy.
