Nitasha Narad quits Madison, joins GroupM

At GroupM, Narad will work closely with Lakshmi Narasimhan, national director of CTG

Nitasha Narad, who was the media director with Madison, is joining GroupM's Central Trading Group (CTG) as investment director. The CTG is the unit that does media buying for the entire GroupM.

Narad, during her one-and-a-half years at Madison, worked on brands such as Kotak Mahindra AOR, CEAT Tyres and the regional business of Airtel. At GroupM, she will work closely with Lakshmi Narasimhan, national director of CTG.

Talking about Narad's appointment, Narasimhan says, "We are very happy that Nitasha is joining us. She is experienced in planning, buying and media sales, which gives her a well-rounded understanding of the media business. She will be a key member of our buying team and we look forward to her contribution."

Narad, after obtaining a Master's degree from MICA, launched her career with FCB Ulka. Thereon, she moved to HTA Fulcrum as a buyer. She has also worked in Sony Entertainment Television as a Group Manager in Delhi, where she was responsible for advertising revenues for the network in the Delhi region. After Sony, Narad moved to Initiative, and within a short span, moved to Madison.

Narad's appointment comes close on the heels of GroupM's MAXUS winning Titan's Rs 40 crore media buying account. MAXUS won the business in a multi-agency pitch that had Madison, Starcom and Lodestar in the running.

MAXUS had won the media planning assignment on Titan earlier this year in a pitch against Madison and The Media Edge (TME). Earlier, TME was responsible for Titan's media buying as part of the centralised Tata buying AOR (agency of the record).

With this win, GroupM's MAXUS has been entrusted with both media planning and buying duties on all brands of Titan Industries. This includes brand Titan, Sonata, and Tanishq among others.
