Galileo India, the national distribution company of Galileo International, has unveiled Compliance Data Reporting (CDR), a pre-ticketing database software programme. This unique solution intimates corporations the instant an ‘out of compliance' reservation in an airline, hotel or car rental takes place.

Corporate travel policies cover every aspect of executive travel, detailing from the class an executive may fly to the category of hotel and car rentals. Compliance to these policies is becoming increasingly complex, as programmes currently in use generate reports for corporations after reservations are made. This leads to loss of revenues on an ‘out of compliance' transaction.

The CDR addresses this problem by sending an alert in real time via fax, email or a flash message, to the travel agency and the corporate travel manager enabling rectification before the trip.

According to Raja Natesan, general manager, Galileo India, "The increasing variety and complexity of corporate travel policies meant that companies were finding it extremely difficult to enforce their travel policies. CDR addresses this need and will ensure revenues are not wasted due to delayed information."

CDR is compliant with the existing Galileo platform and gives business travel agents and corporations an easy opportunity to ensure compliance with their corporation's travel policies. CDR is also able to package the data in customised reports and so helps reinforce the agency's role as the corporate customer's professional travel consultant.
