Madison Media wins Jagran Group Media AOR

The size of the account is estimated to be Rs 10 crore

Madison Media has bagged the media AOR business of the Jagran Group. The size of the account is estimated to be Rs 10 crore.

In the last 18 months, Madison Media has had a dream run winning prestigious and heavily contested AOR businesses like Asian Paints, Cabdury, Hyundai, Marico, Airtel, McDonald's and TATA AIG.

Coming at the fag end of 2004, the Jagran account win comes as an icing on the cake. Dainik Jagran is the largest read publication in India with 164 lakh readers. The Group is also planning to launch a news channel in early 2005. Recently the Group was in the news because Ireland's Independent News and Media is set to acquire a 26 per cent stake in it.

Shailesh Gupta, director marketing of the Jagran Group, says, "We are quite sure that association with Madison will be fruitful for our group.”

Commenting on the win, Sam Balsara, CMD of Madison Communications, says, "We are extremely happy to add the premier Jagran Group to our roster of blue chip clients.”

Some of the other businesses that Madison Media handles include P&G, Coca-Cola India, Godrej, Essel Group, Kotak, Perfetti van Melle and Kinetic etc. Madison Media is a part of the Madison Group, which has specialized units in Creative, Outdoor, PR, Rural, Retail and Entertainment, apart from Media.
