McCann's Happydent White makes it to shots show reel

Making it to the 87th edition of the shots show reel is the Happydent White commercial from McCann Erickson. showreel is a quarterly showcase of the best commercials from around the world, and the inclusion of the Happydent commercial has the agency on a high.

The ad shows a photographer’s assistant literally flashing his pearly whites after chewing on Happydent for a good shot. As was reported earlier in agencyfaqs! the task was to take the drudgery out of cleaning teeth, taking it from the therapeutic ambit to a fun and quirky one.

A brainchild of Prasoon Joshi, regional CD, South & South East Asia, McCann-Erickson, and directed by Abhijit Chaudhuri, the commercial was in keeping with the spirit of Perfetti Van Melle communication, which has always used humour – and at times, a bit of the abstract – to break clutter. “Being featured in shots is a great honour, and we are absolutely delighted,” Joshi told agencyfaqs!
