rmg david has appointed Vivek Sharma as managing partner. Sharma moves from the Ogilvy network, where he was national head of the Unilever business till recently.
In his new role, Sharma would give cross-category business and marketing perspective along with key account management skills.
About Sharma's appointment, Josy Paul, national creative director and country head, rmg david, says, "We've had a fantastic year and we are looking for a booster rocket. I'm glad we found Vivek Sharma. He will add immense value in the area of business, strategic planning and marketing towards creating successful brands."

Therefore, Vivek, with his wonderful track record at Ogilvy, is moving in to be the managing partner at rmg david."
In a related development R Narayan, rmg david's current head is moving on to a new assignment. He would be spearheading two key Ogilvy corporate initiatives - Ogilvy Dakshin and Channel Planning group. Talking about Narayan's move, Goodman says, "He has done a great job within rmg david and I am glad he is bringing his energies to bear on these new tasks."
An alumnus of IIM Bangalore, Sharma began his marketing career with Cadbury India in 1989, where he worked for six years. His Cadbury assignment also included a one year secondment at Cadbury Schweppes, London.
Sharma then joined Warner Lambert India as marketing head where he oversaw the launch of Clorets in India, in addition to boosting the existing business of Halls and Chiclets. After a four-year stint at Warner Lambert, Sharma switched from marketing to advertising and joined Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai.
At Ogilvy, he led a portfolio of businesses across various categories on clients such as Cadbury, Hindustan Lever, Asian Pains, Onida & Mattel.
