Insight gets Sai Nagesh on board

Nagesh joins at a senior position working closely with president Raj Gupta

Media veteran Sai Nagesh is set to join Insight, the youngest agency brand from the Lintas group, in April. He will take up a senior position within the agency working closely with president Raj Gupta.

Nagesh will manage key accounts at Insight with his responsibilities including business development too.

His appointment comes at a time when the agency is looking to “expand its horizons”. In recent months, Insight has bagged the planning and buying mandate of the Bajaj Discover brand including two new businesses Torrent Energy and Cello.

“His recruitment into the family,” says Lynn de Souza, director, Lintas Media Group, “is the first of more. I’m sure that Sai’s extensive experience and goodwill will ensure gains across functional areas.”

A hardcore media planner, Nagesh has eighteen years of media experience having done time at agencies such as Lintas (now Lowe), Mudra, FCB-Ulka, Contract and MAA Bozell. He set up the Maxus office in Mumbai, when GroupM, which was then WPP Marketing Communications, was formed in January 2002.

He briefly digressed from his mainstay of media planning between 2003-4 to take up the role of director, marketing and corporate affairs at GroupM. However, LG beckoned in 2004 and he moved to Delhi to take charge of the business. He quit soon after as head of the LG business at GroupM, and has been working as an entrepreneur since then.
