Subramanian Hariharan takes over as GM, Euro RSCG, Chennai

He comes in the place of Kaustav Das, who quit recently

Euro RSCG, Chennai, has got a new-look team with Subramanian Hariharan (popular as Subbu in advertising circles) taking over as the new General Manager of the Chennai division.

Hariharan, who assumed his new responsibilities just five days ago, has come in the place of Kaustav Das, who recently quit as the head of Chennai operations.

Hariharan has 13 years of experience in advertising and has worked in agencies such as Rediffusion, Contract and Bates.

He has been with Euro RSCG for five months now, and before this promotion came in, Hariharan was in charge of Euro RSCG Chennai's entire client servicing functions.

Hariharan has worked with clients such as Citibank, Airtel, and Taj Hotels Chennai. At Contract Mumbai, he handled Franklin Templeton and Kinetic, while at Bates Mumbai, he serviced Hamam soaps, Benedryl and Cloret's.

Meanwhile, as a part of Euro RSCG's larger gameplan of strengthening the agency's ranks, Soumit Deb has joined Euro RSCG's Media Planning Group (MPG) as a senior member. Deb has had experience of working for The Times Of India and Lodestar, Chennai. His list of clients included Henkel Spic, Bharat Matrimony.com, Faber Castle and others.

Euro RSCG has been busy shopping key personnel in recent months. Last month saw ex-O&M Sujit Unni joining Euro RSCG's Mumbai office as a creative director, while the agency's Delhi office saw two senior-level appointments – Satbir Singh and Virag Mishra – in the creative department.

Singh, who used to be with O&M as well, came on board as vice-president, while Mishra – earlier with Dhar & Hoon – took over as creative director. Earlier in March, the agency had appointed Pradeep Chak as vice-president - client servicing, Mumbai. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
