V K Chopra re-elected as Delhi Ad Club president

At the club's Annual General Meeting on May 4, Narinder Sharma too has been re-elected as the secretary

V K Chopra and Narinder Sharma have been unanimously elected as the president and the secretary of the Delhi Ad Club for the second consecutive year.

At the club's Annual General Meeting on May 4, other elected office bearers include Vivek Syal and R C Tanwar (both vice presidents), Narinder Sharma (secretary), Subhash C. Vatsain (joint secretary), Vipin Kharbanda (treasurer), while the executive committee members are: Rajnish Gogia, Man Mohan Gupta, Kunal Banerjee, K. K. Malhotra, Esha Guha and Pramod K. Bhandula.

This year, the club's plans include hosting advertising awards at the national level. In addition, there will be seminars, advertising quiz programmes, discussion fora and outstation trips conducted throughout the year.

Chopra and his team are keen to increase the Delhi Ad Club's membership to 1,000 members this year.

The club, of late, has been in news for organising Eureka DAC 2004 Awards, its annual awards function. The theme of the evening was ‘Eureka’ and the celebration of the big idea.

As many as 35 agencies participated in the event sending 500 entries in all. Out of the entries received, only a 100 were short listed for the final nomination for 20 categories. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
