The Delhi office of Dentsu Marcom has won the advertising account of Jaypee Group of Hotels. Dentsu will handle both the creative and media duties for the Jaypee Group.
According to industry sources, it was a multi-agency pitch with four agencies in the fray. The account size is roughly Rs 4-5 crore. The account used to be serviced by two-three agencies, including Headstart and Saubhagya, on a project basis in the past. Dentsu Marcom is the first agency that the Group has formally tied with.
"Jaypee Hotels is planning some major expansions over the next two years. We are repositioning our brand, and plan to emerge as a key player in the hospitality sector in India. In line with our growth plans, we are sharpening our marketing thrust and found a fit between Dentsu Marcom's strategic thinking and our plans," says Satya Prakash, head - corporate (marketing and communications).
The Jaypee Group has properties in Musoorie, Agra and two five-star properties in Delhi. While the Jaypee Residency Manor in Musoorie is a unique getaway, Jaypee Palace in Agra offers state-of-the-art convention facilities.
Also, Jaypee Vasant Continental in Delhi has been recently renovated and wears a new look, while Jaypee Siddharth in central Delhi is undergoing renovation. Going forward, the Group is looking to add more properties to its portfolio.
Announcing the win, Ravpreet Ganesh, director - strategic initiatives, said, "The Jaypee Group Of Hotels is an interesting new addition to our portfolio in Delhi office. Our mandate is to build a brand buzz around Jaypee. We are hoping to do some showcase work on this interesting category." © 2005 agencyfaqs!
