Shan Jain takes over as TME Delhi head

Jain comes in with 13 years of experience in media planning/buying as well as account planning, and has worked with O&M, McCann and others

The Media Edge (TME) has appointed Shan Jain to head the agency's Delhi operations.

Jain comes in with 13 years of experience in media planning/buying as well as account planning. She has worked with O&M, McCann-Erickson, Lowe, FCB Ulka and has handled clients like Reckitt & Colman, Gillette, Maruti Udyog Ltd., Whirlpool, Toshiba, Sony Ericsson, ITC Wills, Parker and others.

TME president Anupriya Acharya says that Delhi being a market that is seeing tremendous growth, quite a few clients are actually looking at consumer insights that can be converted to effective media solutions.

Jain’s stint in account planning, she says, will be of immense value in that context, both for the agency's existing and new businesses. Also, her long experience in the Delhi media market will facilitate a smoother growth, Acharya adds.

Jain, on her part, is looking forward to applying her strategic and negotiating skills to a new set of clients. She feels a stable branch set-up in Delhi will be particularly useful as she gears up for her new role.

Her appointment follows that of Sushma Jhaveri's, who stepped in as the agency’s national planning head some time back. © 2005 agencyfaqs!
