MAXUS, Mumbai, has won the media duties for IDBI. The size of the business is estimated to be around Rs 20-25 crore.

This is the seventh win for MAXUS in the last three months and it takes its tally to Rs 100 crore. The other businesses that MAXUS has won recently include AMD (microprocessors) in Bangalore, Essar Telecom in Mumbai, and GE Money, SBI Cards, Dabur Oral Care and the Bill Gates Foundation, all in Delhi.

CVL Srinivas, MD, MAXUS, India and Asia Pacific, says, “Importantly for us, all these new businesses have come from all three branches – Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.”

Srinivas adds, “We have been selective in our pitching this year. After our big account wins last year, our focus has been to look at clients who have the potential to grow in the coming years, and where it makes business sense for us.”

MAXUS India won several high-profile pitches in 2004, including Britannia, Titan (planning), Titan (buying) and Walt Disney.

The agency’s client portfolio in India includes Hero Honda, Hutch, Britannia, Titan, Seagram, Dabur, Pidilite, VIP Luggage, Tata Motors (SUV), Himalaya, Reebok, ‘Hindustan Times’ and Aaj Tak.
