Frank Brown to bid farewell to MTV Networks by 2005-end

Brown has been with MTV Networks since 1987. He will now join his family business in Australia

Frank Brown, president, MTV Networks Asia Pacific, has decided to put in his papers. After 18 years of association with MTV Networks, Brown is going to relocate to Australia and join his family business, the international investment and consultancy company, The Laura Group.

Brown will remain at MTV Networks in Singapore throughout the transition period until the end of 2005.

Brown comments: “I have enjoyed building the company’s network of channels around the world. I have no doubt that the increasing momentum of MTV Networks Asia Pacific will continue to rock youth culture more than ever around the region.”

Brown joined MTV Networks in 1987 to set up MTV’s advertising, sales and marketing operations across Europe. After seven years, in 1994, he relocated to Singapore to establish MTV Networks Asia Pacific. Brown was also responsible for setting up the company’s digital media and consumer products businesses across the region.

A decision on Brown’s successor at MTV Networks Asia Pacific is still awaited.
