was recently crowned Agency of the Year at the Media Agency of the Year Awards. This is the second time in a row that the agency has been given this award. Ogilvy & Mather Asia/Pacific and Publicis Asia Pacific were the runners-up in the category.
TequilaAsia Pacific was named the One-To-One Agency of the Year, making this the first time a network has secured both the above-the-line and below-the-line titles. Tequila's rapid success in growing to become one of the region's few genuine below-the-line networks was credited to the leadership of regional managing director Philip Brett. Brett was announced runner up in the Regional Agency Head of the Year category, in which the top award was won by Tham Khai Meng, Ogilvy & Mather, Asia/Pacific.
Success continued throughout the event for the network with Creative Juice winning the Office of the Year award for a phenomenally successful year that saw it ranked as seventh in the world by the shots Grand Prix 2005, the highest ever achieved by any Asian agency. Thirasak Tanapatanakul of Ceative Juice was selected Creative of the Year. The runner-up in this category was Carol Lam, McCann-Erickson, Hong Kong.
Witawat Jayapani, CEO, Creative Juice, was named Agency Head of the Year along with Henry Tan of MindShare, Malaysia.
While Pongsuree Asanasen, managing partner, Creative Juice, was announced runner up in the Account/Business Development Person of the Year category, Shaun Coulter of Ogilvy & Mather was named the winner.
The Media Planner/Buyer of the Year award was won by Prasanth Kumar of GroupM Media, India. The runner-up in this category was Grace Yao of Carat Media Services, Hong Kong.
While TBWAAsia Pacific won the Agency of the Year award, the Media Agency of the Year award was won by MindShare, Asia Pacific. The runner-up in this category was ZenithOptimedia, Asia Pacific.
Levi Strauss & Co., Hong Kong/ OMD, Hong Kong, won the Marketer of the Year award. The runner-up in this category was HSBC, Singapore/ JWT, Singapore.
