KS Chakrabarty to judge Asian Media Advertising Awards 2006

Chakrabarty, national creative director, Rediffusion DY&R, has been invited as one of the judges for the Asian Media Advertising Awards 2006


KS Chakrabarty & #BANNER1 & # (better known as Chax), national creative director, Rediffusion DY&R, has been invited as one of the judges for the Asian Media Advertising Awards 2006, which is to be held in Bali, Indonesia. One of the most renowned and creative competitions of the region, the Asian Media Advertising Awards is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2006.

Craig Davis, global creative officer, JWT, will be head of the judges' panel, which will have eight Asian and eight non-Asian judges.

The event will begin on April 24, 2006, with the judging of the creatives, which will go on till April 26, 2006. The exhibition of the final, short-listed creatives will be held on April 26, 2006. The awards will be presented on April 27, 2006, and this will also mark the beginning of a creative conference, which will go on till April 28, 2006.

For the record, Chax has been in the creative business for the last 25 years. In the course of his career, Chax has handled power brands such as Taj Mahal Tea, Complan, Iodex, Johnson & Johnson, Thums Up, Reebok, Limca, Coke, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Bajaj motorcycles, Fiat cars, Airtel, Onida, Citibank, Sugar Free and, most recently, DNA. Over the years, he has won over 75 awards and was among the first from India to win a Cannes Lion.
