Hyundai awards its media duties to ZenithOptimedia

The account moves from Cheil Communications to ZenithOptimedia

ZenithOptimedia has bagged the media duties for Hyundai Motor India (HMI). The account moves from Cheil Communications. The size of the account is estimated to be Rs 50 crore.

Confirming this development, C Y Park, GM, marketing, Hyundai Motor India (HMI), says, “The decision to shift the agency came from Hyundai Motor Company (HMC) headquartered in Korea.”

He adds, “However, it is too early to divulge any details on how the split will be among communication vehicles as we are in the process of working out a media plan for the year 2006.”

As reported earlier, the search for the media agency was spurred by Hyundai launching its own creative agency InnOcean in India.

For the record, HMI had awarded its media duties to Cheil Communications in May 2005. Prior to that Madison Media was handling the account.
