Srinivas Gopal moves from Times Internet to MTV Networks India

Gopal will be director, digital, MTV Networks India

Srinivas Gopal, western region head, Indiatimes mobile division, Times Internet, has decided to move on to MTV Networks India, as director, digital. The portfolio includes online, interactive and mobile. At Times Internet, Srinivas handled the mobile operator alliance and drove wireless marketing initiatives for some popular brands.

In his new role, Srinivas will be responsible for positioning MTV, Nick and Vh1 as market leaders in the interactive television sector.

Vikram Raizada, vice-president, marketing and digital, MTV Networks India, remarks, “MTV has always aimed to be a pioneer in interactive initiatives and with Srinivas’ credentials in this field, I am sure we will innovate further. Srinivas will provide a clear strategic and creative direction for brands in the digital space, including mobile, interactivity and the online space.”

Srinivas comments, “I look forward to the challenges of driving the digital initiatives at MTV, which has established itself as a brand that is known for its unique humour and creative edge.”

Srinivas started out on his career path 11 years ago with Paper Products, a company that provides packaging solutions. He later moved to Sify, BPL Mobile and finally to Times Internet, where he has spent the last two years.
