Hindustan adds another edition, with its launch in Meerut

The Hindi daily had initiated a test run in Meerut a month ago, and based on the response the newspaper is being officially launched now

Hindustan, the Hindi daily which recently went all-colour in Delhi, has launched another edition in Meerut. The newspaper will be priced at Rs 3.

The daily boasts of being the first all-colour newspaper in Meerut and claims to be the city’s first complete newspaper. According to an official communiqué, the daily will cover the local news extensively. In addition, the edition will also have two pages on sports, two ‘pink’ pages for business, and a dedicated page for international news, apart from extensive national coverage.

Besides, the daily would also come armed with four supplements per week . These include 'Nai Dishayen', a supplement dedicated to education and career planning on Tuesday, followed by Remix on Friday. 'Remix', as the name suggests would be a mix of general-interest articles for the family with two pages dedicated to the modern women. 'Fest' on Saturday will be a youth-oriented supplement and 'Hum Tum' on Sunday will cover a wide range of topics such as health, fitness, astrology, celebrity interviews, crime and supernatural events, with a section dedicated to kids.

The communication package comprises a teaser campaign that has already started rolling in the city.
