K-Factor bags business from across the border

K-Factor, a & #BANNER1 & # Shivjit Khullar enterprise, has bagged the business of Pakistan based Qarshi Industries. The company is a major player in natural medicines, health supplements, syrups, and food and farm products in Pakistan.

Qarshi's flagship brands are Johar Joshanda, a herbal tea; Jam-e-Shirin, a summer drink cum ice cream topping; Glyeyrrhiza glabra and Hyssopus officinalis, all of which it plans to launch in India.

In Pakistan, the business is handled by JWT and Leo Burnett. In India, Qarshi chose to align its business with K-Factor. The size of the business is pegged at Rs 4-5 crore.

Shantomoy Ray, director, client services, K-Factor, says, "We met the clients at the Trade Fair in Pragati Maidan. This is when we learnt that the company plans to expand its business to India. In fact, we also helped the company find a chartered accountant, lawyers and distributors."

According to Ray, "The communication strategy will include television, print and radio campaigns. At the same time, below-the-line activities will also be given equal emphasis."

The contract between the two companies is valid for a year currently. However, K-Factor is already in talks with some tobacco and banking organisations in Pakistan for more business.

With international clients already in London and Nigeria, K-Factor is on a roll to expand its international business further.
