Dilli Aaj Tak kicks off today

Starting today, Delhiites will have yet another news channels vying for their attention. TV Today Network is launching another 24-hour news channel, this one catering specifically to Delhi. The channel is called Dilli Aaj Tak.

Dill Aaj Tak assures coverage from all regions of the Capital in all aspects. That explains the positioning line of the channel: ‘Aap ka Shehar, Aap Tak’ (Your City, For You). TV Today Network claims that Dilli Aaj Tak has been designed stylishly to make it look vibrant.

This marks TV Today Network’s first foray into the regional news space. On why Delhi was their first choice, G Krishnan, CEO, TV Today Network, says, “Delhi is experiencing a growth in terms of economy, infrastructure and consumerism. And we thought a booming place like Delhi needs a channel that can cover life in the city.”

But with so many regional news channels in the fray, it could be tough surviving and getting in the numbers for a new entrant like Dilli Aaj Tak. Aroon Purie, chairman and managing director, TV Today Network, says “Though news space has seen an exponential increase in the number of players, consumers look for channels like ours to seek credible information.”

TV Today Network has channels such as Aaj Tak, Headlines Today, Tez and now Dilli Aaj Tak under its name.
