HT Media Ltd is
currently in the process of reviewing creative agencies for its upcoming English business daily.
A senior source at HT confirmed this development to agencyfaqs!. "FCB Ulka, McCann Erickson and Contract have been invited to participate in this pitch. Besides, O&M, which handles the main HT brand has also been invited to present," the source said.
All four agencies are expected to present their strategy in the next few days.
HT plans an aggressive launch for the business daily, the same way it did during the launch of the newspaper's Mumbai edition.
The reason attributed by the source for the search for a new agency is to give a fresh communication approach for the upcoming business daily. The source also said that since it is a large business, it needs to be shared by two different agencies.
HT's business daily is expected to be launched soon, although senior executives are tight lipped about the exact date of the launch. HT feels that there is space for a high-quality business daily. HT is well prepared to face the competition that currently exists in the sector.
For the record, Raju Narisetti will head the editorial team for this daily. HT Media also plans to start a business website along with the daily.
