Prasoon Joshi in the AWARD judging panel

Joshi and other judges from across the world will judge the TV and Cinema category

Prasoon Joshi, regional creative director, South & South East Asia, McCann-Erickson, has been chosen to sit on the judging panel for the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) for the early October sessions.

Joshi is the only one from India to have received this honour. He and other judges from across the world will judge the TV and Cinema category. Other categories are Print, Craft TV and Cinema, Print Craft, Radio, Direct Marketing, Mixed Media, Graphic Design and Interactive.

The AWARD juries will be led by Paul Catmur, chairman of judges and executive creative director, DDB, New Zealand. Catmur says, “It’s time to put together a collection of work of which the region can be proud. Apart from great jurors from Australia and New Zealand, we have some of the top creative talent in the world coming down from Asia. It should be a great week and we hope that everybody judging gets a lot out of the experience.”

The AWARD call for entries closes on Friday, August 18, 2006. The show is likely to commence on October 6, 2006, in Australia.

For the record, the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association is in its 28th year now. With premium creative minds spanning across New Zealand, South East Asia and Australia as members, it has a committee of 19 consisting of creatives, planners, account directors and producers.
