The size of the business is Rs 7-8 crore

Karnataka's Department of Tourism has called for an ad agency pitch in Bangalore. A senior official disclosed that the ad spend is pegged at Rs 7-8 crore.

It is learnt that Department of Tourism had issued a tender in a local daily, inviting ad agencies to participate in the pitch process. Agencies with experience in promotional activities related to tourism/hospitality will be preferred, the tender said.

Triton was handling the advertising for the corporation for the past two years. Now that the contract has expired, the organisation is reviewing its creative duties. The selected agency will handle the business for another two years.

According to a Department of Tourism source, 24 agencies have sent in their applications, including most of the leading agencies in the region. Triton is also believed to have applied. The pitch process is yet to commence, a source told agencyfaqs!
