for the New York Festivals (NYF) 2006 are out. Five Indian agencies have won medals at this year's festival. JWT is shining with four medals from its six finalists - three golds and one silver, all for the Levi's Slim Jeans campaign.
The three gold world medals were won for the 'Slim vs Slim' ad in the Apparel TVC category, the 'Slim vs Slim' film craft in the Animation category and the 'Slim Figures' campaign in the Apparel Print category. The silver world medal was won for the 'Slim Figure #2' ad in the Apparel Singles category.
Second among the Indian agencies is Mudra Communication, which has won two silvers and two bronzes from its 19 finalists. The two silver wins are for the SBI Debit Card print ad, titled 'Pickpocket', in the Financial Services category and the Henko print campaign, titled 'Stains', in the Special Advertising: Consumer category. The two bronze medals are for the Air-India Express print campaign titled 'Budget Travel' in the Guerrilla Marketing: Motion and Travel category and the Indian Cancer Society print campaign titled 'What's Inside Your Cigarette?' in the PSA: Health and Hygiene category.
Third was Leo Burnett with one silver and one bronze medal from its nine finalists. The silver medal was won by the Heinz Ketchup TVC, titled 'Housewife', in the Foods category. The bronze medal was won by the McDonald's India print campaigns titled 'Fountain', 'Victoria Terminus' and 'Crawford Market' in the Retail Food category.
Rediffusion DY&R and Brand David have bagged a silver each. Rediffusion DY&R had four finalists, but it won a silver medal for the RSG Infotech iPod poster, titled 'Mute Ad', in the Portable Electronics category. Brand David had two finalists and won its silver medal for the WWF campaign, titled 'Painted Trees', in the Guerrilla Marketing: Outdoor category.
Other agencies that had finalists include Percept H with three entries and Dentsu Marcom, 1pointsize, Stark Communications, Tribal DDB, Concept and Rubecon Communications with one entry each.
