Ryan Menezes, till
recently a national creative director with Mudra Communications, is joining Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC) as an executive creative director. He will join office in the first week of December this year.
Commenting on his move, Menezes says, "VGC is an advertising agency that is driven more by creativity and ideas than administrative regulations. Here I feel that that I will get the creative freedom to do what I am really passionate about. I also have a very good comfort level with people, such as Sanjay Sipahimalani (Sippy) and Atul Hegde, as I have been associated with them in my previous stints. Because of having a good equation, I feel that together we will be able do a good turnaround as far as the creative performance of the agency is concerned".
Ryan MenezesSippy is also executive creative director with VGC, and has worked with Menezes as art-copy team at SSC&B Lintas and Euro RSCG. While Menezes was on the art side, Sippy was responsible for copy.
Atul Hegde, vice-president, Vyas Giannetti Creative, also worked with them during their stint at Euro RSCG.
Besides SSC&B Lintas, Euro RSCG and Mudra, Menezes has worked with a few other agencies such as Saatchi & Saatchi, O&M, Ambience Publicis, Grey Worldwide and Lowe (Nairobi). Some of his prominent projects at Mudra include working on brands such as Philips, Times of Money, Zenith Computer and MTDC.
His commercial for the Philips Steam Iron has been included in the Philips worldwide brand campaign for 2007. He was invited to be on the international team that developed the Philips Global Advertising Template, and his contribution was crucial in making India a regional hub for Philips global advertising development.
Under his creative leadership, Mudra won over 50 international awards, including D&AD, Cannes, Communication Arts, AdFest, The Work and the New York Festivals as well as numerous Abbys, AAAI and Outdoor Advertising Awards.
Menezes was a judge at the Abbys, the AAAI and the Outdoor Advertising Awards in 2005 and 2006 and ranked 8th nationally in the Top Creative Directors List in the Brand Equity Survey for 2006.
Remarks Atul Hegde, "Ryan's (Menezes) joining us is like the coming together of creative fraternity that will result in a winning team combination. In the recent past, VGC has had a good track record for growth. And with Ryan and Sippy back together as a strong senior team, the performance of the agency will be high on talent and creativity".
