Radio City ropes in Hemant Jain from Reliance for strategic planning and alternative revenue

Jain will pioneer the radio station’s growth plans, help redefine systems and processes, build strategic alliances and focus on convergence of radio across media platforms which include mobile, Internet, broadband, etc.

Radio City has got Reliance World executive Hemant Jain on board to head the strategic planning and alternative revenue function. He has joined as vice-president. At Reliance World, he was national head for brand management and marketing services.

At Radio City, in his new role, Jain will pioneer the radio station’s growth plans, help redefine systems and processes, build strategic alliances and focus on convergence of radio across media platforms which include mobile, Internet, broadband, etc.

Jain will work closely with Apurva Purohit, CEO, Radio City, and will be responsible for developing alternative revenue models and new initiatives for the radio station.

Jain has over 12 years of experience in sales and marketing in fields ranging across telecom, retail, media, advertising and Internet. At Reliance World (formerly Reliance Web World), he spent around five years setting up a personal services and telecom retail business model. Prior to that, he had been working with Mudra as general manager and head, Mudra Digital.

It’s the growth in the radio sector that drove him to Radio City. He says, “Radio is currently in the booming phase and it will be a challenge to guide Radio City into a knowledge-driven and process-oriented organisation.”
