Shavon Barua has joined Euro RSCG, Delhi, as the senior vice-president on the Reckitt Benckiser account. Prior to this, Barua was heading Dentsu Q-Pro, Dentsu’s employee branding communications venture, as general manager. She will report to Suman Srivastava, CEO, Euro RSCG, India. Her mandate at Euro RSCG will be to enhance client relationships, consolidate the strengths of the team and provide strategic leadership on the business.

Barua says, “I always wanted to get back to mainstream advertising. Euro RSCG is a young place and full of dynamic energy. I have also worked with Suman (Srivastava) before during the initial years of my career at SSC&B Lintas.”

In all, Barua has close to 12 years of experience in the field of advertising. She started her career in 1995 with Bates Enterprise in Kolkata (then Clarion), where she worked on the Gold Flake account. After this, she moved to SSC&B Lintas, Mumbai, and later to the agency’s Delhi branch, where she handled Marico, Allwyn, IDB and Hero Honda. Her next stint was with Rediffusion DY&R, where she looked after the team servicing Colgate-Palmolive. She was instrumental in the creation of the Colgate Gel ‘Talk to Me’ campaign.

Remarks Srivastava, “Shavon comes with great experience of working on big brands such as Colgate, Lakme and Marico. Her understanding of the functioning process of the advertising business is comprehensive. Euro would benefit from her knowledge in taking the recently acquired Reckitt Benckiser account further in the market.”
