Brand Curry bags Top 'n Town ice cream and bakery brand

The company plans to spend around Rs 1.5 crore on print, outdoor and radio

The Ramani Group, a Bhopal based company and owner of Top ‘n Town ice cream, has roped in Brand Curry as communication consultant for three of its brands. No formal pitch was called. Initially, the advertising was carried on by local agencies, but with the change in scenario in terms of advertising in the non-metros, the client zeroed in on Brand Curry.

Subhash Mistry, brand manager, Top ‘n Town, says, “We finalised Brand Curry based on its past credentials.”

Subrata Chakraborty, MD, Brand Curry, says, “The attitude and behaviour of the residents of the non-metros are shifting. Our goal is to create a brand which will connect with the emerging India.”

Set up in 1988, the Ramani Group set up its first outlet in Bhopal by the name of Ramani Ice Cream; later, the name was changed to Top ‘n Town Ice Cream.

Brand Curry will help the company build the brand which is into ice creams, bakery products and now plans to get into education.

The ice cream and bakery brand is present across six states of the country, in Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Orissa, through retail outlets and franchisees.

The Ramani Group plans to spend around Rs 1.5 crore on advertising for the three brands, mainly on print, radio and outdoor.
