The number of entries received by the Spikes by the early deadline of January 19, 2007, has shot up by 20 per cent over last year. Says Tim Waldron, managing director, the Spikes: “Significant investment has been made towards the transformation of the Spikes in the last three years, from a one-night award show in Hong Kong to a three-day creative festival in Bali. There is enormous support for the event from various agencies, creative luminaries, judges, entrants and sponsors. With this, the Spikes stands on a platform of prestige equal to any other awards show.”

The Spikes will be held in Bali from April 25-27 this year, and will incorporate a finalists’ gallery, a two-day creative conference and the awards night on April 26. This awards show was originally established in 1986 by ‘Media’ magazine, Hong Kong. It is responsible for encouraging ideas and creative standards of advertising in Asia. The late entry deadline is January 26, 2007.
