Sundeep quits Motivator as Delhi head to start own venture

Sharma has been associated with the WPP group for the last 10 years. Three years ago, he was moved from Maxus to launch GroupM's Motivator in Delhi

Sundeep Sharma, & #BANNER1 & #general manager and branch head, Motivator, Delhi, has quit the agency. He plans to launch a core media-related venture in three months' time. Sharma has been heading the Delhi branch of Motivator for the last three years. Prior to that, he was heading the buying team at Maxus, another GroupM agency.

Sharma, a graduate from Delhi University, has been in the industry for 18 years. He started his career at Lintas as a media executive. He later worked with Ogilvy as a senior buyer. He moved on to WPP group 10 years ago, and has since been associated with buying.

He was part of the core team at Maxus (then Maximize), a GroupM agency. Later, when GroupM's management decided to open another independent media arm, Sharma was seconded from Maximize with the responsibility of launching Motivator in Delhi.

Says Sharma, "At Motivator, my mandate as the Delhi head was to grow the business. Both Motivator and GroupM Media are doing well. I have decided to move on in order to explore new avenues of business."
