Nima Namchu joins Publicis India as senior creative director

Namchu has 13 years of experience in advertising. At Publicis, Namchu will work on brands such as Hewlett-Packard (HP), Jim Beam, Teachers Whisky, Sauza Tequila and Aviva Life Insurance

Nima Namchu, former creative director, McCann-Erickson, who took a sabbatical after quitting the agency in October last year, is back in action.

He has joined Publicis India, Delhi, as senior creative director. Here, he will report to Hemant Mishra, chief operating officer, Publicis India, and Nakul Chopra, managing director and chief executive officer, Publicis Network India.

At Publicis, Namchu will work on brands such as Hewlett-Packard (HP), Jim Beam, Teachers Whisky, Sauza Tequila and Aviva Life Insurance.

Namchu says, “At Publicis, I see an opportunity for better growth, as I will be responsible for handling a bigger team of people. My basic mandate is to boost the creative functions for the brands I work on.”

Namchu has 13 years of experience in advertising. He started his career in year 1993 with Saatchi & Saatchi (then Sistas) and moved to TBWA India (then Anthem) after a year and a half. Then he joined Leo Burnett and spent about three years there. After this, he moved to Capital Advertising and was there for five years. He joined McCann in 2004 and spent three-and-a-half years working on brands such as Mastercard, Nescafe and Perfetti Van Melle.

Some of the other brands that he has worked on recently are Reebok, Microsoft, Compaq, Chevrolet Optra, Dabur Babool and Dabur Chavanshakti.
