Preeti Vyas invited to address Brazilian advertising congress

Preeti Vyas Giannetti, chairwoman and chief creative officer, Vyas Giannetti Creative (VGC), has been invited to address the 21st Brazilian advertising congress, the Semana Internacional Da Criacao Publicitaria.

Semana Internacional Da Criacao Publicitaria is a week long event on creative advertising, which aims to propagate information on advertising and marketing from around the world. The congress will be held from April 16-20 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

It is the first time any Indian has been invited to speak at the festival.

She will be speaking on the topic ‘Indian advertising scenario amidst its diverse cultures’.

She remarks, “This is truly a very emotional moment for me and a rare opportunity to showcase how far advertising in India has come today. I will be talking about Indian culture and how it inspires creativity in advertising.”

Last year, Preeti Vyas was chosen as one of the 25 most powerful women in Indian business by ‘Business Today’ and Creative Professional of the Year at the Indira Awards for Marketing Excellence, 2006. She was also part of the press jury for Cannes International Advertising Festival, 2006, as well as the jury of the New York Festivals in 2005.

The speakers for the international week at the congress are chosen by its press team. The team works every year at Cannes, New York and London Festivals and looks for advertising professionals who can be invited to address the event.
