Integrated Marketing Services has roped in Rima Gupta as executive vice-president. Prior to this, Gupta was country head with Henley Center, the WPP Group's brand consulting arm. At Solutions, she will be responsible for building the company's business in FMCG, industrial products, durables and services.
Commenting on the appointment, Kanika Mathur, president, Solutions, says, "With a broad range of marketing services, Solutions focuses on providing holistic and integrated solutions to clients' marketing challenges. Currently, we are strengthening our brand and consulting focus on marketing services offerings that include categories such as FMCG, durables, industrial products, BFSI and telecom. Rima's experience will accelerate this process."
Gupta is an IIM Calcutta alumna with 21 years of experience. Her career spans across companies such as Procter & Gamble, AF Ferguson, Quadra Advisory and Henley Center.
After joining Henley Center in 2005, she played an integral role in establishing the brand in India. Some of the clients she has worked with during her career are 'The Times of India', Titan, Tata Chemicals, Dabur, Hero Honda, Diageo, Godrej Sara Lee, Unilever, India Brand Equity Foundation and Ministry of Commerce.
Gupta remarks, "Clients these days focus more on brand activation compared to yesterday's below-the-line communication. At Solutions, I will focus on cementing the clients' basic brand understanding and provide them with integrated brand solutions."
